CREATIVE WOMEN OF PINNACLE PEAK

Every child deserves a safe place to go . . .

A hot bowl of soup. . .

A chance to learn . . .

Or just to know that someone cares. . .

GRANT APPLICATION PROCEDURE

2009 - 2010

HISTORY

Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak was founded in 1991, and over the past 17 years has raised and distributed over $2.3 million to a variety of community organizations – thanks to the creativity of its members, volunteer support, generous individual and corporate sponsors, and event attendees. Our founding members set the course to share friendships, continue to help  women and children in need, and give, for many, a second chance.

MISSION

The Mission of Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak is to make a difference in the community with primary focus on children in need.  This is accomplished by funding non-profit organizations in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area that meet our criteria and evaluation. Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak awards grants annually through a grant application procedure.  The funds are raised at a series of annual events.Every dollar raised goes directly to 501(c)(3) organizations.  Administrative costs are covered by membership dues.

GRANT CRITERIA

1.                  This grant will make a significant difference to the petitioning organization.  This will be judged according to need, numbers served and the considered program agenda.

2.                  Our grants are made directly to a project and not to another organization to “pass on.”  This does not preclude collaboration with another organization on a project.

3.                  Grants will not be limited to any age, gender, ethnic or religious group.  However, special consideration will be given to children’s and women’s programs.

4.                  Organizations benefiting from CWPP grants must be located in the greater Pheonix/Scottsdale area.

5.                  Grants must be for a specific purpose, i.e., equipment and programs, not for general and/or administrative expenses, staff salaries or individuals.

6.                  The grant Committee makes recommendations to the CWPP Board of Directors for approval/action.

7.                  All grant applicants apply every year and those re-applying must show that the restricted grant is accounted for as a line-item on Grantee’s financial statement as stated in the signed Grant Agreement (Item 3, Paragraph d).
